Innovative Waste Recycling with XLT
XLT is a mobile application designed to facilitate sustainable waste management solutions, particularly in Singapore. This app operates in collaboration with 800super to enhance local recycling efforts, allowing users to deposit various types of waste, including metal, plastic, paper, glass, and textiles, into smart storage lockers. The service is currently in a pilot phase, focusing on food waste recycling, while providing an easy interface for managing waste disposal.
The application also features a comprehensive record-keeping system that allows users to track their historical waste drop-off activities. Additionally, XLT incorporates a rewards mechanism where users can accumulate points and redeem them for consumption vouchers, such as Fairprice gift vouchers, after reaching 1000 points. This initiative encourages community participation in recycling, promoting a cleaner urban environment.
